On Friday, we had our first team meeting with the Hokkien Harvest team of Southern Taiwan. We were embraced as part of the group and they were excited to have us with them. On the team are 4 couples, Chris, the 24-year old Journeyman, the three of us MP3-ers and many coworkers (which is what they call the Taiwanese people who join the team). They were so encouraging to us in our English teaching and adjusting, etc. and are really excited to have us here to join with them in ministry. We look forward to taking part in some of the ministries that they already have going and supporting them in whatever ways that we can as well. Also, we are looking forward to a team retreat that we have in the beginning of October in Kending which is in Southern Taiwan and a common vacationing place:) It is such a blessing to have a larger group to be a part of and to experience their minsitries and what God is doing in and through them. I can’t imagine having come out here on my own to teach English like many North Americans tend to do.
