My first class!

Well, it is true.  I had my first class of my own tonight.  I found out at 3:30pm that I would be teaching the class at 5pm.  It is kind of just they way things work around here.  It went fine.  You really just have to be flexible in that kids are in and out.  I fluctuated from 5-8 kids throughout class.  They did know more English then I had anticipated for it being their first class ever at our school.  We made popcorn, learned each others names, and we did a couple of songs and games.  It was a good time, but it will be challenging to learn how to best communicate and connect to the kids.  Now I know what Rachel was going through over 2 weeks ago!
