So, today, we had the opportunity to hangout with a group of about 52 college students who are English majors at a local University. They were on a weekend retreat and we simply joined them for one day of their activities. Rachel and I got to lead and be judges for of an activity that used color flags and was fairly similar to “Simon Says.” Chris and Eric lead another activity that was similar to catch phrase. Also as part of the judging, the student had to “admire” us. So to admire us, they could impress us by good team cheers, or by giving us compliments. We even got a couple of back massages. Our (Rachel’s and mine) favorite team name was “Good Bottom” and after they said it they turned and slapped their butt. It was pretty funny. All in all, it was a sweet opportunity interacting with some Taiwanese young people, telling them why we are here in Taiwan, and even getting into some great spiritual conversations. We hope to have more opportunities to interact with them through this English club.
