O LORD, my heart is not lifted up;
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
too great and too marvelous for me.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel, hope in the LORD
from this time forth and forevermore.
This morning Psalms 131 was a refreshing breath as I consider God’s work verse my work. Sometimes it is difficult to remember God’s mission starts with me. He has been working in my life from the time I was born until today. God has pursued a relationship with me and provided his own Son as a substitute for my sin. The relationship between God and me is the most important relationship each day. As I tune into his words and ways during personal time with him, his mission in my life begins to continue outward to others. Then I become part of his mission in Taiwan.
