Last Sunday, I was invited to play some softball with a team of foreigners.  They had heard through the grapevine (which is very small in most foreign crowds) that I had once played some baseball.  So they picked me up to play for the day.  The team that we played a series against was from the Taiwan Navy…the ARP.  I think from our conversations that they were the equivalent to the US Navy Seals.  In any case they were in shape and ready to play!  As we arrived, we had to be escorted on to the naval base and prove are identities with our resident cards.  One of the escorts that gave me a ride to the field turned out to be the General Major of Taiwan’s Navy.  At home, I am pretty sure that I will never have the opportunity to meet or ride with any General…so I feel very privileged!  It was an exciting day of baseball and contacts as the General proved to be very proficient at English.  I am pretty sure that my play proved another invitation and more contacts in the Taiwanese Navy in the future!  Please keep praying that I can be alert to the divine appointments that God has given me while living in Taiwan!  He is working amazingly through our team and I want my life to be a tool in everything that I do.

The day ended great as we won the series, after losing the first game, I was voted the MVP of the day!

I love reading your testimonials. You have a great attitude Eric so I know you will have many opportunities to share God’s Love!

  3. It is so amazing how God works. You are a connection between certain people that no one else is at a moment in time and that is your work. May you hear the Holy Spirit and follow the Spirits lead no matter how much or how little it makes sense to you.
