The countdown is now at 10 days.. wow! The summer has gone incredibly fast, as I knew it would, but it has been filled with good times and lots of bonding time with friends and family. Other than hanging out at home, I had some sister bondage time when Amy and I road tripped out to visit Heather in Virginia, and then I just recently got back from a road trip down to Tulsa and Lawrence where I visited some amazing friends I was blessed to have made in college. I just read Julie’s blog and have to admit that I actually have been pretty nervous in this time of preparation, but God has truly answered prayer and only continues to fill me more and more with His peace and excitment as the day to leave draws nearer. I have been overwhelmed by the response and support of so many people.. words cannot express my gratitude and how much it has encouraged me, so thank you all so very much and I love you!

I still can’t believe I am really doing this sometimes, because on my own I do get scared easily of the unknown and of change.. but good thing we serve a bigger God than my human weaknesses. As the Bible says “when I am weak, He is strong”- amen to that! I can’t wait to simply love on people with the love of Christ, and to share with them a hope and joy that surpasses all understanding. To God be the Glory!

Hmmm… what to say?! Well, I still can’t believe you are leaving. However, what an incredible journey you are about to embrace on, so spectacular. I am so excited for you (well, all three of you guys!). I love how you speak with so much peace in your heart. It blows me away. I know some big things are in store for you Rachel. May you continue to lean on God in all circumstances. Love You!!!

I hope you have the time of your life over there. When God’s got a plan, ain’t nobody gonna screw it up so don’t worry, just do your thing and it’ll be awesome.

In closing I’d just like to say I don’t know if they have it there but if they do, you have to eat Durian. It’s amazing.
